Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison Will Host A Series Of Screenings Of ‘Stop Making Sense’

Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads has announced new dates for his 2025-2026 Stop Making Sense screening tour, following a successful 40th-anniversary run last year. Kicking off September 11 in Concord, New Hampshire, the tour will visit cities like Washington, DC, Kansas City, and Austin, featuring 4K Ultra HD presentations by A24 with a newly remixed Dolby Atmos soundtrack restored under Harrison’s supervision. “This is just another level better,” Harrison told Forbes of the restoration. “We went back to scratch on everything — the sound, the mix, the colour correction. It’s thrilling to hear the film this way. When you close your eyes, you can feel where every musician is standing.” Each event includes Harrison’s live introduction, behind-the-scenes insights, and a post-show audience Q&A. The upcoming tour continues the ongoing celebration of the enhanced re-release of the iconic Jonathan Demme-directed concert film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 with a Talking Heads reunion and discussion led by filmmaker Spike Lee.
