On Tuesday (November 25), Sublime announced the launch of their inaugural touring festival, Sublime Me Gusta, which is set to debut on May 9 in Fort Worth, Texas. The event will take place at Panther Island Pavilion and will also feature a performance by Sublime’s longtime friends Slightly Stoopid, with more acts to be revealed. Named after a lyric from their iconic 1996 song, “Caress Me Down,” the festival celebrates Sublime’s fusion of punk, reggae, hip hop, and surf culture, embodying their sun-soaked, rebellious spirit. Co-produced with Brew Ha Ha Productions, the event promises a full day of live music, vendors, art, food, and community vibes, with a second date planned for June 27 in Oregon. Formed in 1988, Sublime has recently returned with Jakob Nowell, son of the late original singer Brad Nowell, as lead vocalist, and is actively working on new material in the studio with producers Travis Barker and John Feldmann as they prepare their first full-length album in nearly 30 years.
