Six workers were injured during the load-out process following Ed Sheeran’s concert at Ford Field in Detroit on August 29, 2026.
Stadium officials said the incident happened near the venue’s vehicle tunnel while crews were dismantling and moving production equipment after the show. Emergency responders transported all six workers to local hospitals. Two were listed in serious condition, while four were reported to be stable. Officials said the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Michigan workplace safety authorities have opened an investigation to determine what happened and whether any safety violations were involved. Ford Field is also conducting an internal review and cooperating with investigators and production partners.
No official cause had been announced at the time of the initial statements. The investigation is expected to focus on the circumstances surrounding the load-out operation and the events that led to the workers being injured.
