A new global chart update shows Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull’s “On the Floor” is back in the mix, 15 years after its original release. The 2011 dance-pop hit re-entered the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts after gaining fresh attention from Prime Video’s Off Campus.
The song appears in a widely shared scene from the series featuring Allie Hayes, played by Mika Abdalla, and Dean Di Laurentis, played by Stephen Kalyn. The moment takes place at a Halloween party, with Allie wearing a look inspired by one of Lopez’s most recognizable fashion moments.
The renewed interest has translated into a clear streaming boost, especially outside the United States. “On the Floor” also passed a major Spotify milestone, crossing 1 billion streams as the scene continued circulating online.
