A recent tour recap outlines how BTS has been adding a rotating “surprise song” segment to its ARIRANG world tour, giving each concert a distinct closing moment. These songs sit outside the main setlist and often include fan favorites or older tracks that are not part of the core performance.
The list shows the format began in Goyang, where the group performed Mikrokosmos and I Need U on opening night, followed by Take Two and DNA on the next show. A third night featured Spring Day and Run. When the tour moved to Tokyo, the selections expanded to include Save Me, Crystal Snow, Dope, and For You across two dates.
This approach has encouraged fans to follow each stop more closely, since no two nights end the same way. It also allows the group to revisit different periods of its catalog without changing the overall structure of the show. The main set continues to focus on recent releases alongside major hits like Butter, Dynamite, Mic Drop, Fire, and Idol, while the surprise segment adds a more personal and flexible touch.
