Joe Jonas is opening up about a frightening boating accident that happened during a trip to Portofino, Italy. During a recent interview, the singer said he was moving from a yacht onto a smaller tender boat when a wave suddenly pushed the two vessels apart.
Jonas explained that he lost his footing and fell into the water between the boats. A first mate who tried to help him also ended up in the water. Jonas initially struggled to climb onto the smaller vessel but eventually managed to pull himself aboard safely.
The singer said the seriousness of the situation became clearer once the immediate rush of adrenaline faded. After the incident, he felt a strong need to contact his daughters and see their faces.
Jonas described the experience as a reminder of how quickly an ordinary moment can turn dangerous. No serious injuries were disclosed, and he was able to continue safely after getting out of the water.
