Sleep Theory have scored their second consecutive No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Static,” which topped this week’s tally after jumping three places to reach the top spot. The Memphis-based hard rock band previously reached No. 1 back in February with “Stuck in My Head,” which topped the chart for two weeks. Sleep Theory first appeared on the chart in July 2023 with “Numb,” which went on to peak at No. 9, followed by the No. 2-charting “Fallout” in 2024. “Static” is lifted from the band’s debut studio album, Afterglow, with the track also gaining traction on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, where it has reached No. 20, and Hot Hard Rock Songs, where it currently sits at No. 16 following its No. 5 debut in February. Meanwhile, another single, “Gravity,” is currently rising to No. 37 on Alternative Airplay in its second frame on the chart, further highlighting Sleep Theory’s growing commercial success.
